Well, Mark and I have only started making games with RPG Maker a few months ago. I felt like we still had a lot to learn and a long way to go. Mark, however, is much more confident in our abilities. We decided to enter a contest via the RPG Maker blog for a “Fall Festival” game. The game is supposed to be under an hour, Fall Festival themed, and finished in 3 weeks.
Needless to say, we didn’t sleep a lot in that amount of time.
Well, we slaved over our game and even made some new tiles (our first ones!). We made a corn maze tile, a cute ghost, and edited a few other tile sets. We also made our first minigames and they ended up working rather well, if I do say so myself.
Regardless, I didn’t have high expectations for our game.
You can imagine my surprise, then, when I found out that we had won second place in this contest (here).
So, we decided to put the game up for people to play. We were going to put it on a website, but I’m still in the process of designing it. Until then, it’ll be on this blog. This blog will also update you on our other projects that we are working on.
Thanks for the support and I hope you have fun playing it!
